Description
SPEAR BALLISTIC GLASSES, WILEY X®
During the development of the SPEAR model, emphasis was placed on functional details that enhance protection and comfort during extended wear. The glasses feature an elastic strap with the Tri-Glide™ system, which allows for easy length adjustment and quick release via clips. A major advantage is full compatibility with helmet attachment systems (RAS), including both ARC rails and Team Wendy EXFIL® helmets, ensuring a secure fit when used with a tactical helmet. The removable Facial Cavity™ Seal provides an additional barrier against dust, debris, and irritants, while the symmetrical ventilation system prevents fogging.
The lenses are made of highly durable Selenite™ polycarbonate, which provides optical clarity without distortion. The lens surface is protected by a hardened T-Shell™ coating against mechanical scratches and an advanced Foil™ (Anti-Fog) treatment that effectively prevents fogging even in harsh weather conditions. The goggles are fully compatible with prescription inserts and meet the requirements for use with night vision devices.
BALLISTIC CERTIFICATIONS AND SAFETY STANDARDS
This model has been tested according to the strictest standards for protection against mechanical eye injury:
- MIL-PRF-32432A: U.S. military standard guaranteeing protection against impact from a .15-caliber fragment traveling at speeds up to 796 km/h
- ANSI Z87.1: standard confirming resistance to impact from a 6.35 mm steel ball traveling at 165 km/h
- EN 166B: European standard for personal eye protection ensuring safety against high-speed impacts

- Smoke Grey (Dark): 15% light transmission; evenly absorbs all colors to maintain natural perception without glare, ideal for bright lighting conditions
- Clear (Clear): light transmission 89–90%; ensures maximum light transmission and accurate color perception, suitable for indoor use, at dusk, or at night
- Light Rust (Orange): light transmission 52%; filters most blue light waves (HEV) and enhances contrast in medium to low light conditions
