Description
WX VAPOR BALLISTIC GOGGLES, WILEY X®
The Vapor glasses are designed to minimize weight while maintaining top-tier ballistic protection. The semi-rimless design ensures an unobstructed view in all directions, which is key to maintaining situational awareness. The unique rubber nose bridge with the Twist Lock system is fully adjustable, allowing the goggles to be customized for a secure fit even during intense physical activity. Thin, rubber-coated temples minimize pressure points and allow for very comfortable wear with a helmet, hat, or hearing protection.
The lenses are made of durable Selenite™ polycarbonate, which meets the strictest military standards for protection against fragments. The optics provide a completely clear, distortion-free image, which significantly reduces eye fatigue. The lens surface is protected by a T-Shell™ hardened coating against scratches, and a special Foil™ treatment ensures excellent anti-fog protection. The goggles are fully compatible with night vision devices (NVG) and allow for the insertion of TLRX prescription inserts.
BALLISTIC CERTIFICATIONS AND SAFETY STANDARDS
This model meets key international standards confirming a high level of mechanical protection:
- MIL-PRF-32432A: U.S. military standard guaranteeing protection against impact from a .15-caliber fragment traveling at speeds up to 724 km/h
- ANSI Z87.1: a standard confirming resistance to impact from a 6.35 mm diameter steel ball traveling at 165 km/h
- EN.166F: a European standard for personal eye protection ensuring safety against impacts from objects traveling at 162 km/h
LENS TYPES
- Smoke Grey (Dark): 15% light transmission; evenly absorbs colors and preserves natural perception of the surroundings, ideal for bright light conditions
- Clear: 89–90% light transmission; ensures maximum light transmission for indoor use, shooting in twilight, or night operations
- Light Rust (Orange): 52% light transmission; enhances contrast and depth of field by filtering out blue light, ideal for fog or cloudy weather
