FOAM MATS
Everyone knows foam mats. It is definitely enough for ordinary trips under a tent. However, their main disadvantage is the dimensions and therefore the compactness of these mats. Most of today's outdoor backpacks have the option of attaching a mat from the outside so that they do not take up space in the backpack unnecessarily. If not, it is always possible to use an elastic band and attach the foam mat in your own way.
INFLATABLE AND SELF-INFLATABLE MATS
An inflatable or self-inflatable mat is a more modern successor of classic foam mats. Some types do not take up more space than a classic Nalgene bottle, have a low weight and, in addition, have much better insulating properties. Inflatable mats are not only compact but also much more comfortable than classic foam mats. Their only disadvantage is the higher price. Even so, it is good to realize that a person spends a third of his life sleeping. Therefore, he should also pay attention to comfort during sleep. It is certainly a good idea to add a proper sleeping bag to a self-inflating mat.
INFLATABLE MATTRESS
