Protection masks

A gas mask, or a protective mask, is used to protect the wearer's face, eyes and respiratory tract from toxic substances in the air. A gas mask usually needs to be accompanied by replaceable filters to capture the toxic substances. 

Protective gas masks began to be produced on a larger scale during World War I, when their demand increased due to the widespread use of combat gases.
