I'll see how the additional anti-abrasion layer on the sleeves works. So far, it seems like a good idea. The advertised side zippers have proven to be effective, but mainly as an opportunity to loosen the lower part of the jacket when sitting, eg driving a car. When it's scythe, you don't have to take off or unbutton your jacket and it won't roll on your stomach. At the same time, you fasten the belt correctly, as it should, without any problems, and you are still warm. I can't judge (I don't have) access to weapons. But when unzipped, the top of the zipper is at the level of the belt. Assuming a belt holster, the handle of the weapon will always be under the jacket anyway. But everyone has to try this for themselves.
