The Direct Action Spitfire QR plate carrier builds on the more than decade-long legacy of its successful predecessor, and its name pays tribute to the Polish fighter pilots of the RAF during the Battle of Britain. The construction, combining laser-cut laminate, 500D Cordura, and softshell, provides exceptional resistance to mechanical wear and abrasion while maintaining an extremely low weight. A key innovation of the QR version is the quick-release system integrated into the shoulder straps and side belt. The system uses reliable Duraflex QRS buckles, which allow the vest to be removed instantly with a single motion without the need for complicated unfastening, significantly facilitating the treatment of injuries or evacuation from a vehicle.
This model stands out for its broad compatibility with third-party accessories. Additional Crye Precision AVS-standard panels can be easily attached to the back via zippers, while the front allows for direct mounting of chest rigs from Mayflower, Velocity Systems, or Haley Strategic. The well-thought-out design includes integrated channels for routing radio cables and hydration tube hoses, a reinforced evacuation handle for moving the injured person, and large Hypalon loops for easy handling while wearing gloves. The carrier can be customized from a low-profile setup to a heavy-duty configuration with side ballistic plates or radio pouches.
