The TETRAO Bear Spray CR is a personal defence spray designed for protection against bears, predators, and other aggressive animals. It is intended to provide an immediate defensive response when used in situations of necessary self-defence or emergency, giving you valuable time to retreat safely from danger.

The spray contains a combination of CS, CN, OC, and CR active agents, which strongly irritate the eyes, respiratory system, and other sensitive sensory organs of the attacking animal. According to the manufacturer, this formulation is among the most effective solutions available for defence against aggressive animals and has been proven in real-world use.

Thanks to the high pressure inside the canister, the spray reaches a discharge speed of up to 114 km/h, allowing effective use even in strong winds. It offers a range of up to 10 metres and creates an approximately 4-metre-wide protective barrier, increasing the chance of stopping an attack before the animal reaches you.

The spray features a safety lock to prevent accidental discharge and can be used multiple times. Its compact dimensions make it easy to carry, and the manufacturer recommends using a protective belt holster for convenient transport. The 150 ml capacity provides sufficient reserve for repeated use if necessary.

Active Ingredients

The spray contains a combination of CS, CN, OC, and CR irritant agents whose synergistic action provides a fast and highly effective defensive effect against attacking animals.

CS (orthochlorobenzalmalononitrile) – causes severe eye irritation, excessive tearing, pain, redness, and temporary blurred vision.

OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) – a natural extract of chilli peppers with a very rapid onset of action. It causes excessive tearing, intense burning of the eyes, nose, and respiratory tract, persistent coughing, and a feeling of suffocation. The effects typically last for more than 20 minutes, providing valuable time to retreat safely.

CR (Dibenzoxazepine) – a highly effective irritant with an almost immediate onset of action within approximately 2 seconds. It causes intense burning of the eyes, respiratory tract, and head area, with effects typically lasting approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
