DON'T KNOW ABOUT CHOOSING A JACKET?

To make your choice easier, we will analyze the basic parameters according to which you should choose your new jacket.

SEASON

You should be the first to decide at what time of year you want to wear the jacket. In winter, jackets with a breathable membrane are often used, that are weather-resistant and allow body moisture to escape. If you are looking for a jacket for spring or autumn, you can, in addition to insulated windbreakers, also choose from a range of jackets made of softshell material, that excel in great wind resistance, waterproofness and also excellent breathability.

TOP LAYER

The top layer is a protective layer to protect you from adverse weather. The basis of the jacket is, of course, the protection of the body from frost, cold, wind and rain, i.e. to maintain body heat and prevent colds and subsequent health complications.

JACKET WATERPROOFNESS

If you choose a jacket for the field, it should definitely be waterproof. But what does waterproof mean? This parameter specifies the height of the water column at which the fabric begins to pass water. According to European standards, the material is considered waterproof if it can withstand a pressure of 1300 mm of water column. It is important to choose an outdoor jacket with the highest possible water pressure value to stay dry.

WHAT IS GORE-TEX?

In our offer you will also find jackets with a GORE-TEX membrane, but what does that mean?

Goretex is composed of a narrow porous membrane made of Teflon, that is laminated with other fabrics. Its pores, in the latest models more than 1.4 billion per square centimeter, make the membrane impermeable to water and at the same time allows vapors to pass through. However, the Goretex membrane must not be used for its products by anyone, but only by the manufacturer whose products meet high quality standards. And you will find exactly such products on our e-shop.

MOST COMMONLY USED MATERIALS

COTTON

Very often used material with good breathability and thermoregulation. It is relatively light and absorbs moisture well.

SOFTSHELL

Very light, breathable and especially waterproof material, protects very well from the wind and can be used either as a main layer in warmer seasons or as a middle layer in colder ones. The inner layer of the softshell is made of a pleasant fleece, which perfectly retains heat but also wicks away body moisture well, so you will feel comfortable in all climatic conditions.

FLEECE

Fleece is a light, pleasant material with excellent insulating properties, which wicks moisture away from the body. It is suitable as a middle layer for cold winters, or as a main layer for warmer seasons. For washing, we recommend a maximum of 40°C.

POLYESTER

Polyester is characterized by very good abrasion resistance, durability and good moisture wicking from the body. It is also characterized by very low moisture content, so polyester fiber clothing dries quickly. We recommend washing polyester clothes at 30°C, inside out and with clothes of similar colors. When it comes to ironing, choose the lowest level and iron upside down, ideally over a wet cloth.
