WX AXE Sunglasses by Wiley X®
WX AXE by Wiley X are modern protective sunglasses designed with an emphasis on optical quality, impact resistance, and maximum comfort. Their construction combines a sporty design with advanced technologies and functional features, making them suitable for everyday wear, driving, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
The ultralightweight and durable frame provides excellent strength while keeping weight to a minimum. The construction features stainless steel temples that contribute to the overall durability of the sunglasses. Dual-injected rubber nose pads and rubberized temple tips ensure a secure and stable fit even during intense movement. This design also provides excellent comfort during extended wear.
The construction includes protective side shields that provide additional eye protection against external elements. The WX AXE features a combination of removable and permanent side shields, offering additional coverage from the sides. This design is particularly beneficial in demanding environments or during activities requiring enhanced eye protection.
The sunglasses feature advanced CAPTIVATE™ lens technology, which optimizes the color spectrum and enhances color perception, contrast, and detail. Specialized light filtration helps highlight visual differences and provides a clearer view under various lighting conditions.
Selected variants also feature a polarized filter that effectively reduces unwanted glare from water surfaces, wet roads, and other reflective surfaces. Polarization helps reduce eye fatigue and enhances visual comfort when driving, fishing, or spending time in intense sunlight. Individual variants differ in lens tint, lens coating, and light transmission.
Impact-resistant lenses provide a high level of mechanical protection and are designed for use in demanding conditions. The sunglasses meet the requirements of ANSI Z87.1+ and ISO 12312-1 standards, covering impact protection and general-use sunglasses requirements.
