The Streamlight TLR RM 1 Laser is a compact yet powerful tactical weapon light designed for long guns used at shorter engagement distances. It is particularly well suited for PDW platforms, pistol-caliber carbines, and rifle conversions where minimal size, low weight, and reliable performance are essential.

This legacy model delivers a maximum light output of 500 lumens with a peak beam intensity of 5,000 candela and an effective beam distance of up to 140 meters. The precisely engineered optical system produces a tight, well-defined beam with balanced peripheral illumination, allowing for fast target identification while maintaining situational awareness in confined or transitional environments.

Integrated into the light is a visible red aiming laser with a wavelength of 640–660 nm, enabling rapid target acquisition in low-light conditions. The operating modes can be easily selected using the side-mounted selector lever on the tail switch, allowing the user to switch between light only, light with laser, or laser only. The unit also includes a strobe function for signaling or disorientation, which can be user-programmed and disabled if not required. When using the laser only, battery life extends up to 60 hours, while strobe-only operation provides up to 3 hours of runtime.

The TLR RM 1 Laser features a low-profile housing that reduces snag hazards on gear or clothing during weapon handling. A rotating bezel safety lockout prevents accidental activation during transport or storage, preserving battery life and enhancing safety. Control is provided via a 90-degree tail-mounted pressure switch designed for intuitive operation by both right- and left-handed shooters.

The light is powered by a single CR123A lithium battery, which is included in the package, and provides up to 1.5 hours of continuous runtime at full output. The housing is machined from durable aerospace-grade aluminum and meets IPX4 water-resistance standards.
