The TETRAO Strix 18 Gen.II combines detailed images with a resolution of up to 37 MP, video recording in up to 4K resolution with sound and practical invisible 940 nm infrared illumination. Thanks to its fast trigger response and wide motion sensor detection angle, it can capture wildlife activity both during the day and at night.

The trail camera is particularly suitable for hunters, gamekeepers and users who need to monitor activity in hunting grounds over extended periods. It can be used at feeding sites, hunting stands, game trails and other locations with regular wildlife activity. It is equally suitable for monitoring cabins, properties, storage areas or other buildings.

Detailed Photos and 4K Video with Sound

The CMOS sensor allows the camera to capture photographs with a resolution of up to 37 MP. Several resolution settings from 4 to 37 MP are available, allowing you to choose the right balance between image detail and file size.

In addition to photographs, the Strix 18 Gen.II can record video in up to 4K resolution with sound. The video recording duration can be set from 5 to 60 seconds. Burst shooting and time-lapse functions are also available for monitoring regular wildlife activity.

Discreet Night Monitoring with 940 nm IR Illumination

For nighttime operation, the trail camera is equipped with 940 nm infrared illumination, which is practically invisible to the human eye. This helps prevent wildlife from being disturbed by visible light when nighttime recordings are captured. The illumination range is up to 30 metres.

For situations where colour night recording is preferred, the camera can also use the White LED function. The illumination mode can be configured directly in the camera menu.

Fast Motion Detection

The motion sensor provides a 57° detection angle and offers three sensitivity levels. The trigger speed is as fast as 0.7 seconds, allowing the camera to react quickly even to moving wildlife.

The activation interval, burst shooting and time-lapse functions can be adjusted as required. The date, time and temperature can also be recorded on captured photographs.

Practical Power Supply with 18650 Rechargeable Batteries

One of the practical advantages of the Strix 18 Gen.II is its power supply using two 18650 rechargeable batteries. The batteries can be recharged directly in the camera via USB-C, so there is no need to remove them each time they need charging.

For long-term deployment, the camera can also be powered by an external 6 V power source or a solar panel. Recordings are stored on an SDHC memory card with a capacity of up to 32 GB.

Durable Design for Outdoor Use

The trail camera is designed for outdoor use and features IP66 protection. It can therefore withstand dust, rain and snow. The operating temperature range of −20 °C to +60 °C allows it to be used throughout the year.

Its compact dimensions and weight of just 174 g without batteries make it easy to transport and install at the desired location. A tripod thread is also provided for stable mounting.
