Which sleeping bag should you choose? In terms of shape, comfort, and weight, sleeping bags can be divided into two basic types.
BLANKET SLEEPING BAG
Blanket sleeping bags are popular for their spaciousness and great comfort. Sleeping in such a blanket sleeping bag is like sleeping in bed, under the duvet. They have the added advantage of being able to be unzipped to create a large blanket. The main disadvantage of blanket sleeping bags is their larger size. But if you are traveling on holiday by car, blanket sleeping bags can only be recommended. In order to use the full potential of a blanket sleeping bag it is also useful to have a spacious tent.
MUMMY SLEEPING BAG
The mummy sleeping bag is suitable for traveling on foot. It is adapted to this with its tapered shape. The mummy sleeping bag is easy to pack and takes up little space in a backpack. These sleeping bags tend to be designed for outdoor and more demanding travel.
