TACTICAL HELMET-MOUNTED MULTIFUNCTION LED FLASHLIGHT STREAMLIGHT SIDEWINDER STALK
The Streamlight Sidewinder Stalk is a compact tactical flashlight designed for professional use during demanding operations and everyday field work. Thanks to its thoughtful design, it is ideal especially for use on a tactical helmet, but it works just as well mounted on tactical gear.
At the heart of the flashlight is a powerful white C4 LED complemented by multi-color light sources that allow the illumination to be adapted to a specific situation. The flexible gooseneck (“stalk”) allows the light beam to be directed precisely without the need to move the head or reposition equipment. This is especially useful when working in confined spaces or when handling gear.
In addition to the white light, the flashlight also offers multi-color LEDs:
- red
- blue
- green
These modes are suitable for working at night, reading maps, or situations where it is necessary to minimize the loss of night vision. The flashlight also includes an infrared illuminator compatible with night vision devices (NVG) and an identification IR beacon for signaling in the infrared spectrum.
The user can choose from three brightness levels – high, medium and low. The flashlight is designed to always start in low mode, which helps protect night vision adaptation and reduces the risk of accidental glare.
Operation is controlled using a combination of a single push button and a rotating mode selector. This system is designed to be clear, intuitive and to minimize the risk of accidental setting changes when handling the flashlight or moving in the field.
A major advantage of the Sidewinder Stalk model is its high versatility in mounting options. The flashlight can be attached using an ARC Rail clip on tactical helmets, using a gear clip or MOLLE webbing, on a head strap, using an adapter for NVG mounting, or with a hook-and-loop (Velcro) adapter. This makes it easy to adapt the flashlight to various types of gear and specific tasks.
The flashlight body is made of durable nylon polymer that provides high strength while maintaining low weight. The construction is designed for reliable operation even in demanding conditions, and all threaded joints are sealed with O-rings for better protection against moisture and harsh weather.
Power is supplied by commonly available batteries such as CR123A or AA (alkaline or lithium). This flexibility allows the user to use different battery types depending on availability or the specific situation in the field.
