The Responder 72 backpack by 5.11 is designed specifically for front-line professionals — paramedics, firefighters, and law enforcement officers. With a 50-liter capacity, it offers space and organization for all essential life-saving gear, including an oxygen cylinder (type D or Jumbo D). The internal dividers (2 vertical and 3 horizontal) are fully adjustable to keep equipment securely in place, even during movement.
The backpack features reinforced construction with closed-cell foam padding to protect contents and maintain its shape. The main compartment opens fully with a clamshell design, easily accessible even with gloves. A light-colored interior lining improves visibility in low-light conditions. Inside, you'll also find zippered pockets, elastic loops, and clear compartments. Externally, there are three additional large zippered pockets — on the front, top, and sides — along with reflective elements for enhanced safety.
For carrying, the pack is equipped with a padded harness system, a removable sternum strap, an aluminum frame, and an HDPE back panel. The outer shell, made of 900D TPU-coated polyester, is fully wipe-clean and disinfectable — a vital feature in the field or after an operation.
