The TB Outdoor Protecteur is a tactical dagger developed to meet the requirements of the French Armed Forces. Unique Symmetrical Blade

The Protecteur features a symmetrical 10 cm blade designed for compactness, durability, and maximum field performance. Made from MOX® stainless steel, developed for knife-making and military use, it balances hardness and toughness — hard enough to hold an edge, yet flexible to resist breaking under heavy use. Its high chromium content ensures excellent corrosion resistance for long-term field deployment.

The blade is coated with a black PVD layer (Physical Vapor Deposition) for extra protection. This coating enhances scratch resistance, limits chemical effects of moisture and other agents, and reduces glare. The matte black finish extends the knife's life while keeping a tactical, low-profile look.

Ergonomic Handle

The handle is made of durable PA6 polymer reinforced with glass fibers, a material often used in military gear. It combines strength, shape stability, and impact resistance with very low weight. It resists deformation under extreme temperatures and is impervious to moisture, oils, and common field chemicals.

Its ergonomic shape provides a secure and comfortable grip in challenging conditions. The textured chevron pattern ensures hold even when wet or wearing gloves, appreciated by soldiers and rescuers alike.

The rear of the handle tapers to a point and features a practical loop for securing a lanyard or paracord, making it easy to attach to gear. Its impact-resistant, diamond-shaped pommel also serves as an effective window breaker.

Combination Edge

The Protecteur blade has a combination edge, blending a smooth cutting surface with aggressive serrations. The smooth part allows precise, controlled cutting, while the serrated section quickly slices tough materials like ropes, straps, fabrics, or seatbelts. Large teeth penetrate wet or dirty material where a plain edge might slip.

Blade hardness of 55–57 HRC balances edge retention and ease of maintenance — sharp enough for demanding tasks yet easy to re-sharpen in the field. This edge type makes the knife versatile and reliable for everyday or emergency use.

Full Tang Construction

Protecteur features a full tang, robust construction for maximum reliability and long service life. Weighing only 121 g, it is both strong and lightweight for everyday carry. Its balanced design ensures stability during delicate tasks or rapid deployment in critical situations.

Tactical Use

Designed primarily as a backup tactical knife for soldiers, law enforcement, and rescuers, it excels in emergency extrication, material cutting, or self-defense. Its compact size allows flexible carry options.
