The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HP-X PRO is the latest long-range weapon light for 2025, engineered for shooters who demand extreme beam intensity and maximum reach. While rated at 800 lumens, this light delivers an exceptional 105,000 candela, achieving a remarkable 648-meter beam distance—far beyond traditional rifle-mounted lights.
Compared to the ProTac Rail Mount HL-X (1000 lumens / 27,600 cd / 332 m), the HP-X PRO focuses on pure throw performance. Its precision-engineered optic produces a tight, highly concentrated beam, making it ideal for medium- to long-range rifles where positive target identification at distance is critical.
The flashlight is powered by a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery (2,600 mAh) with a Micro-USB charging port built directly into the battery. Alternatively, it can operate on two CR123 batteries, ensuring flexibility in the field. Runtime reaches up to 2 hours on high with 18650 and up to 26 hours on low, depending on the power source.
A Jack-Cap dual tail switch allows operation with or without a remote pressure switch. The SML89016 version includes a remote switch, while SML89018 ships with the tailcap only. Users can activate momentary or constant-on modes, including strobe functionality.
With TEN-TAP® Programming, users can select from three operating modes:
- High / Strobe
- High only
- Low / High
Built from anodized aerospace-grade aluminum, the HP-X PRO is designed to withstand heavy recoil. It is rated IPX7 waterproof with the tail switch and IPX4 when using a remote switch, operates from -40 °C to +50 °C, and includes an integrated Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) mount plus a 45° M-LOK mount.
