Natural Fire Starter 'Maya Stick' Made from Pine Wood by Origin Outdoors

This traditional natural fire starter, also known as fatwood or “Mayan wood,” is handcrafted from old pine stumps rich in resin. Thanks to this, it burns with an intense and steady flame, even in damp or windy conditions – making it ideal for starting fires outdoors, at cottages, or while camping.

The package contains approximately 1 kg of sticks, each about 19.5 cm long and weighing around 20 g. This means one package includes roughly 50 pieces of fire starter (the quantity may vary slightly as it is a natural product).

How to use? Simply scrape off a few shavings from one stick with a knife or ignite with a fire steel – it lights quickly and burns long. Thanks to the high resin content, this fire starter is much more effective than paper, wax, or ordinary kindling.
