The story of the American brand Kore Essentials began in 2003 on Kickstarter, where they introduced their revolutionary EDC belt concept. 

The core of the belt consists of a Power-Core™ polymer reinforcement for maximum strength and stability, and the surface is made of virtually indestructible nylon. Despite its high rigidity, however, the belt retains sufficient flexibility. The belt’s key feature, however, is its patented buckle system and polymer toothed mechanism, which allows for very fine adjustments to the belt’s circumference in increments of approximately 6.5 mm, enabling a perfectly precise fit.
