HEARING PROTECTORS
We have only one hearing and it is unhealthy to expose it to a great deal of shooting, loud music or other highly noisy activities. It is scientifically proven that high-intensity sound is harmful to our hearing and can cause us lifelong consequences. That is why shooting hearing protectors - headphones - are used when shooting and working in high noise. The use of hearing protectors is also required by the operating rules of the shooting ranges.
HEARING PROTECTORS, SHOOTING HEADPHONES
Passive hearing protectors are the simplest thing that can be purchased for hearing protection. They are made either as earplugs or shooting headphones. Their function is to muffle loud sounds from the surroundings, but they usually also mute other sounds. Passive hearing protectors differ not only in the degree of sound attenuation, but also in terms of the material of the sealing pads used, i.e. the overall wearing comfort.
ELECTRONIC SHOOTING HEADPHONES
Electronic hearing protectors can dampen loud noises from the surroundings (shooting, noise caused by machines or vehicles), but at the same time amplify less loud noises (normal speech). So, paradoxically, you hear better with your electronic headphones on without risking hearing damage. Electronic headphones are an effective part of tactical equipment, because they facilitate communication even in a very noisy environment.
