Description
HALIFAX® Medium Backpack by Direct Action
The medium patrol backpack HALIFAX® from Direct Action can be fully configured to your needs. The pack has a 40-liter capacity and is made of Cordura®, giving you plenty of space for multi-day trips while remaining tough enough for hard outdoor use. For increased durability the pack is fitted with high-quality, robust YKK zippers, so—unlike many competing packs—the zippers won’t be the weak point where the pack fails. Thanks to the modular internal frame, you also won’t hesitate to load it up.
The rear section of the interior panel is covered with a laser-cut MOLLE/PALS system (and soft velour material), letting you re-configure the pack for anything from an assault or medical loadout to a radio pack, with anchor loops for securing a radio inside and an antenna port at the top. The top of the flap features two additional pockets, one of which is lined with velour to protect items you don’t want scratched.
The shoulder straps are adjustable and generously padded, with buckles equipped with pull tabs for a quick-release doff, allowing you to drop the pack from your back in an instant (when the sternum and waist straps are not fastened).
On the bottom of the pack you’ll find, besides a pocket for a rain cover (not included), four load-bearing loops designed to attach the pack for parachute jumps (or to clip additional gear to the bottom of the pack). You can attach additional pouches over almost the entire exterior thanks to the laser-cut MOLLE/PALS grid. If you also own the Spitfire plate carrier from Direct Action, you can zip on a back panel to the front of the pack using the dedicated zippers. The pack is otherwise well prepared for carrying gear: you’ll appreciate the padded panels that increase comfort when worn with ballistic protection and space the pack off the back. These panels are fully removable, as is the waist belt, which is additionally fitted with laser-cut MOLLE so it can be worn separately as a tactical belt.
