The EMR40 uses a thermal principle in which the FCB 2.0 heating system heats the repellent mat and enables the gradual release of its active ingredient. The heating system reaches a maximum temperature of up to 165 °C. The device offers two protective zone levels and, depending on the selected setting, creates a protected area of approximately 3.4 or up to 5 meters.

One of the main advantages of the EMR40 is its built-in Li-ion battery with a capacity of 7800 mAh / 28 Wh. It provides up to 10 hours of operation on a single charge, making it suitable for extended outdoor use. Charging is performed via USB-C with a 5 V / 2 A charging input and a maximum power of 10 W.

Thanks to the USB-C connector, the device can be easily recharged from standard USB power sources. In the field, it can also be used with a power bank, allowing the operating time to be extended according to its capacity.
