Curtiss Chest Rig by Direct Action
The Curtiss Chest Rig from Direct Action is designed as a hybrid, highly modular load-bearing platform for users who need quick access to their gear and the ability to customize their setup depending on the mission. Its core consists of three permanently sewn-in pouches for HK 308-pattern magazines and other .308WIN rifle magazines. They are secured with elastic bungee retention loops that keep the magazines firmly in place while still allowing fast retrieval.
On the sides, you’ll find MOLLE/PALS panels that allow the attachment of additional pouches, medkits, or radio pockets, enabling the rig to be tailored to specific requirements. Additional attachment points are also integrated on the front pockets and on the harness, allowing for a more extensive configuration than standard chest rigs. The entire system is made from durable 500D Cordura® and 210D nylon laminate, ensuring long-lasting performance while keeping the weight low.
The harness has been redesigned to distribute weight more effectively and increase comfort during prolonged use, even with heavier equipment. This upgrade allows the rig to carry a greater load without causing discomfort or pressure points. Inside, a large Velcro-sealed internal pocket provides space for maps, documents, flat tools, or other essentials that need to be both accessible and protected.
