Canopy Jungle Shirt, Helikon
The Canopy Jungle Shirt is a highly functional garment designed to address the discomfort associated with moving in hot and extremely humid environments. The shirt is made from a lightweight 100% nylon fabric that still offers high mechanical resistance to abrasion and snagging in rough terrain. The material offers a high protection factor to reliably reduce the effects of intense UV radiation on the skin. The fabric is also treated with a special mosquito-repellent coating based on plant-derived active ingredients, which significantly reduces the risk of insect bites. The antibacterial treatment effectively prevents bacterial growth and eliminates unpleasant odors even during heavy sweating and prolonged, intensive wear.
The shirt’s construction is designed for maximum practicality in action. The shirt fastens with sturdy Canadian-style buttons that are easy to operate even while wearing gloves and are extremely resistant to tearing or damage. For optimal thermoregulation and airflow in the areas under the most strain, mesh ventilation panels are integrated under the arms and on the back. The sleeves feature cuffs to adjust the wrist circumference and, if necessary, can be rolled up and securely fastened using an integrated fabric loop.
Storage space consists of two chest pockets with flaps, which are ideal for storing a fire starter, a signal mirror, or other small gear. Inside each of these pockets is a thin cord loop that secures small items to prevent loss. Below them are two additional flat pockets closed with reliable YKK® zippers, designed for the safe storage of thin items such as maps or documents.
