Ajax 2.5 Fleece Jacket by Pentagon

The Ajax 2.5 by Pentagon is designed as a high-insulation fleece jacket for cold weather and extended wear. It is suitable for professional use, fieldwork and activities, outdoor pursuits, and everyday wear. Its construction combines thermal comfort with breathability, allowing the jacket to be worn on its own or as part of a layering system.

The jacket is made from 100% polyester fleece with a fabric weight of 385 g/m². Its high CLO insulation rating helps retain body heat efficiently, while the material provides a good warmth-to-weight ratio. The jacket therefore delivers substantial protection against the cold without unnecessary bulk.

At the same time, the polyester fleece maintains good breathability during active movement. It helps manage moisture and reduces overheating compared with less breathable insulating layers. The fit also provides the necessary freedom of movement during work, movement in the field, and other activities in cold environments.

The 2.5 version features a monochromatic design without the contrasting panels used on previous generations. Comfort during extended wear is enhanced by Flatlock seams that reduce bulk and minimise friction. This is particularly practical when wearing a backpack, additional equipment, or another outer layer.

When choosing the jacket, it is important to note that its construction is primarily focused on thermal insulation and breathability rather than protection against water, wind, or intensive mechanical wear. The jacket itself is neither waterproof nor windproof, and the fleece may collect small pieces of debris when moving through dense vegetation. In more demanding conditions, it can be combined with a suitable protective outer layer.
