Multi-Tool knives Victorinox

The history of the Swiss company Victorinox dates back to 1884, when the experienced knife maker and entrepreneur Karl Elsener opened a knife company in the town of Ibach (Schwyz) in central Switzerland. Thus the 125-year history of the now world-famous and respected Victorinox brand has started.

The basic feature of Victorinox products is a high degree of precision in terms of design, as well as great durability and, last but not least, originality and practicality.

A few of the many successes of the legendary Victorinox company:

  • 1884 - Karl Elsener establishes a knife company.
  •  1909 - To differentiate the products, the company logo used to this day is created - the cross and the outline of the shield. Karel Elsener's mother, Victoria, is dying. The company is named after her.
  • 1921 -  Stainless steel is invented- inox. The now traditional name of the company is created by merging the names Victoria and inox - Victorinox.
  • 1945 - For great success, members of all parts of the US armed forces are equipped with a "Swiss Officer's Knife", for simplicity called the Swiss Army Knife.
  • 2009 - Victorinox employs over 1,700 people and generates sales of more than € 300 million.

MORE TOOLS, MORE PLACES.

One of the best-known manufacturers of multifunctional knives is the Swiss Victorinox, whose compact tool knives combine several helpers in one tool. These include a saw, scissors, a corkscrew and a can opener. Less common include pliers, a nail file but even a flashlight! Victorinox has been supplying the Swiss army with these knives for decades. You should definitely not miss this multi-purpose assistant on your belt, whether you are a repairman, handyman or woodsman.

It is certainly worth mentioning the American manufacturer Leatherman, that has been operating on the market since the 1980s and stands so well for the quality of its products that it guarantees its knives for 25 years.
