MMPS SPARTAN 60 FA backpack from Berghaus
As the name suggests, this is a durable backpack with a capacity of 60 litres. As it is a MMPS series, it is modular - the zippers for the pockets are on the side of the backpack. Front Access (FA) means access from the front of the pack. The backpack also has a classic top and bottom fill.
The backpack has a height adjustable elastic chest strap. The waist belt is padded and reinforced to help transfer the weight of the pack for a comfortable carry. The buckle of the waist belt can be operated with one hand. The backpack also includes stabilizing straps to pull the backpack close to your body. The back of the backpack is padded and anatomically shaped, with a channel in the middle that allows air to circulate and relieves pressure on the spine. The lid of the backpack can be adjusted in height - it has straps for tightening. At the top of the lid there is a zippered pocket, put in it the things you need to have quickly at hand. There is also a flat zippered pocket in the lid pocket. On the underside of the lid is another flat pocket.
In the front there is a mesh pocket for attaching a helmet or other items. If you use it, it is attached with 6 buckles. If you don't need it, it can be rolled up and stored in the pocket provided. There is a flat compartment on the inside of the front panel. There is a Molle system on the outside. If you open the backpack from the front, you will see the fixation straps that still hold the carried items in the backpack.
At the bottom of the backpack is a compartment for a sleeping bag, for example. There is a flap between the lower and upper chamber for tightening. So you can use separate chambers of the backpack or open the flap and have one larger compartment.
Backpack size 3 is designed for body heights between 170 and 183 cm and back lengths between 43 and 48 cm. Backpack size 4 is designed for body heights between 183 - 198 cm and back lengths between 48 - 54 cm.
