Origin Outdoors water disinfection tablets

The tablets are chlorine based with silver ions. They are designed to disinfect and preserve drinking water, eliminating the risk of infections from unknown water sources (streams, springs, water in accommodation in underdeveloped regions). They will thus be useful not only when travelling to countries where drinking water is not commonplace.

They are suitable for last-rescue boxes and backpacks for emergency situations - humanitarian or natural disasters.

The tablets are suitable for disinfecting visually clear water. If the water is cloudy, mechanical filtration is necessary beforehand. Cloudy water reduces the effects of disinfection.

Using the tablets is simple - just throw an adequate number (1 tablet per 1 litre of water) into a container or reservoir of water intended for consumption, stir well and leave for at least 30 minutes (for viruses and bacteria) and preferably 2 hours (for amoebae and giardia). There are no health risks associated with the use of the product and the water thus prepared can be used for consumption, dishwashing or personal hygiene.

Directions for use:

Add 1 tablet per 1 litre of content, mix. At 20 °C (68 °F), the time of action is as follows: 
Bacteria and viruses 30 minutes, Amoebae and Giardia 2 hours. 
At temperatures below 10 °C the exposure time is twice as long.
