If you're looking for a case that will protect your gear under virtually any conditions, you've probably heard the term Pelican case, which is the absolute top-of-the-line in the safety case category. The case is made of extremely durable HPX® resin but is also relatively lightweight so it doesn't add unnecessary weight. Even the hinges are designed to withstand the same load as the rest of the case, so they don't become a weak point where the case could fail under extreme stress. Then the O-ring seals keep water and dust out. If you want to secure the suitcase (for example, when traveling) against potential thieves, there are also two massive grommets on the lid for threading the locks through. In addition, the suitcase is secured during transport by five push-pull buckles that lock automatically when clicked but open very easily even under pressure. Carrying the suitcase itself is made possible by a pair of double-layered handles with a soft-grip finish that is pleasant to the touch and also helps with a firm grip even in wet and rainy conditions. If you have a heavy load in your suitcase, just grab the handle on the narrower side and you can carry it along the integrated castors made of durable polyurethane and complemented by steel ball bearings.

The suitcase comes with foam that is cut into four layers (base layer, two middle layers and lid filling), so you can cut the two middle layers of foam to fit the exact equipment you want to carry in the suitcase.

VENTIL VORTEX™

In suitcases with the level of protection provided by those from Peli, you will inevitably encounter what is known as "pressure lock" of the suitcase, which occurs when the air pressure inside and outside of the suitcase is different. Such a "stuck" suitcase can then be extremely difficult to open. That's where the patented Vortex™ valve comes in, it balances the mediate pressure inside the case with the outside, but at the same time does not let water inside the Peli case, so the it remains watertight.
