WATER AND CLEANING FILTER VARIO BY KATADYN

This filter from the Backcountry series combines maximum efficiency with the simplest operation thanks to its double-acting pump. The filtration is three-level and consists of a cleanable ceramic pre-filter adjustable according to the degree of turbidity of the water, a high-efficiency fibreglass filter and an activated carbon column to improve the taste and odour of the water. So, if you need to, you can filter 2 litres of water per minute thanks to the double-action pump just mentioned.

You can fit the Vario onto most wide-mouth hydration bottles such as Nalgene or, using the universal clip, various water bags.

The filter is designed to filter clear to slightly cloudy water. If the water is a little cloudier, a ceramic pre-filter is installed to extend the life of the fiberglass cartridge. For highly turbid water sources, we recommend the Katadyn Pocket Tactical from the Endurance series.
