Machettes Walther

The German armory Walther, more precisely Carl Walther, was founded by Carl Walther in 1886. For more than 140 years, it has been producing firearms for business and sports use. The original factory in Zella-Mehlis (near Suhl in Thüringen) was abandoned after the division of Germany, and the armory has been based in Ulm (Baden-Württemberg) since the 1950s.

Walther's fame began with the launch of the PP model (Polizei Pistole) and especially the PPK model (Polizei Pistole Kriminalmodell), that became an iconic weapon of Agent 007. Another renowned model is the Walther P38, infamous in the hands of members of the Wehrmacht, but serving also in a light version of the P-1 in the Bundeswehr until the 90s. In 1993, Walther became part of the Umarex Group. Walther also manufactures modern service pistols, especially from the PPQ and PPS series, while Umarex offers their airsoft and gas variants. Walther has also been focusing on sport shooting for a long time and therefore offers specially modified sport variants of the originally service PPQ model and also offers a range of top sports air and small arms weapons for the Olympic disciplines.

All of the offered models of long weapons in stock can be viewed by prior arrangement in our stores in Prague, Brno, Vyškov or Tábor. If you have any professional questions, do not hesitate to contact us at the e-mail address zbrane@armed.cz.

MACHETE FOR THE JUNGLE AND THE FOREST

Machetes are mainly used to cut a path through dense vegetation. There are different types of these slashing weapons, machetes designed for both work and military use. We will advise you on what to look for when choosing a machete.

MANUFACTURER

The choice of the manufacturer is more than important, practice-proven products promise you a guarantee of durability and long life. On Armed you will find products of renowned manufacturers of the highest quality, among which are American Cold Steel and Gerber. If you are interested in wholesale cooperation, do not hesitate to contact us.

BLADE MATERIAL

The blade material is one of the most important parameters by which cutting tools are selected. We have written more about cutting steels in this article.

HANDLE MATERIAL

Safety at work is essential. The machete should have an ergonomically shaped handle that fits well in the hand and does not slip, especially in difficult working conditions (wet, and rainy). The rubberized handle with grooves ensures that the tool does not slip out of your hand and you do not injure yourself while working. Some people also prefer light but very strong handles made of Kraton or zytel.

TOTAL LENGTH

The overall length of your new machete should be chosen according to the use you plan for your machete. If you want to get a machete for less demanding work, compact lightweight machetes with smaller blades are recommended. If, on the other hand, you will be using your machete for heavy work, we recommend a longer and heavier machete, which will be easier to work with.

WHAT DOES FULL-TANG MEAN?

The term full-tang means that the blade is extended all the way to the handle, giving the tool more rigidity and control. Machetes of this type are very resistant to breakage.
