The EVO shoe platform, designed by the American company 5.11, is a solid foundation for a good shoe. Sealing around the entire circumference of the sole ensures the durability of the shoe in difficult terrain. The cleverly placed padding made of D30® material takes care of the comfort of your foot. 

The D30® material adapts to the conditions to which it is exposed. During normal movement it is elastic, but with greater pressure and impact it strengthens and absorbs vibrations very well. The inside of the shoe is lined with Ortholite®. This patented technology of antibacterial anatomical insoles absorbs hits, prevents the formation of odors and mold in shoes, removes moisture and ensures breathability. The sole of the shoe has a cleverly designed shape with protrusions that prevent slipping and have a special groove for fence climbing in the front. It is also equipped with a friend tracker, used for clear identification of friendly traces in terrain. Soles are oil resistant.

WATER RESISTANCE

The waterproof version of the EVO platform shoes from 5.11 is different in several elements. Beside standard models, the waterproofing sole is not quilted. The leather surface of the shoe has undergone a waterproof treatment and has been treated with eVent® technology.

What is eVent®? Although this technology does not have as strong a name as other waterproofing materials (Gore-Tex®), its properties dont lag behind. The eVent® membrane is composed of millions of miniature pores. These very easily remove sweat and moisture from the shoe and prevent water penetration at the same time The main difference is the fact, that this technology removes moisture immediately without the need of accumulation of a certain temperature. This technology is called Direct Venting™. It shares similar effectiveness parameters with its largest competitor. Water column value is 30 000 mm, the breathability reaches 15,000 - 25,000 g / m2 / 24 h. The fact that the company 5.11 chose this technology has also had a positive effect on the price compared to the competition.

The eight-inch model is made of full grain leather and 1200D nylon. Nylon is comfortable and flexible. Motion range is not limited by lacing, thanks to the partition above the ankle. Unlike other shoes, it does not prevent you from bending in more complex situations. A large zipper from the Japanese manufacturer YKK® is placed on the inside of the shoe. This will make it much easier for you to take off your shoes or open them on hot summer days.
